A Leisurely Sunday at Downtown Disney with Harry & Sandy

This all took place on Sunday, April 27, 2014

On a recent Sunday, during Harry and Sandy’s visit, we went to Downtown Disney for a wander, a few nibbles, and a couple of beers. We found all of those things…

Three Pepper Calamari from Splitsville

Chicken Wings from House of Blues… with spicy Jamaican jerk

Voodoo Shrimp from House of Blues

Then we moved out to the patio at House of Blues and listened to Grace King play her guitar and sing. We sat there for quite a while, turns out that she knew a lot of my favorite songs (and since it was my birthday weekend, she received a few tips to play them) – I even sang along on one song!

We ended up at Raglan Road Pub’s Tonsil Tickler (again), Harry ordered the ribs that he loves so much, and we ordered an array of starchy, carb-y snacks INCLUDING the kid’s macaroni and cheese with chips (fat french fries). Nick and I have decided that if/when we have a mac-n-cheese craving, it’s going to be satisfied with Raglan Road’s rendition. Nothing fancy or exotic, just d*mn*d good mac-n-cheese.
