• The Food and Garden Festival at Epcot is in full swing, Sarah at EatingWDW has reviews of nearly all of the food offerings at this year’s festival…
  • Taste of Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion
  • The Cottage in the United Kingdom Pavilion
  • The Bauernmarkt in the Germany Pavilion
  • Smokehouse BBQ & Brews in the America Pavilion
• We saw a rumor on wdwmagic.com that the two “parades” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are performing for the last time the first week of April… both Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! and Disney Channel Rocks! are not expected beyond April 6th… we can only hope that they’re replaced by something that’s LESS LOUD and more appealing to guests of all ages
• And the BIG NEWS from Walt Disney World… They’ve decided to revisit changing? improving? plussing? Downtown Disney… The previous plans for Hyperion Wharf have long since died (this would have been a remaking of the Pleasure Island portion of Downtown Disney)… The new plan is for Disney Springs (basically a much larger remaking of Pleasure Island area)…
  • From the Disney Parks Blog, the official announcement from Chairman Tom Staggs
  • From Jim Hill Media, there are more rumors such traffic implications with the present incarnation of Downtown Disney
  • From Inside the Magic, there is a video of the media presentation for Disney Springs (nice to see that the lead Imagineer is the woman who successfully executed the Cars Land project in Disneyland)
  • From the Disney Food Blog, there is further information regarding the restaurants expected at Disney Springs including speculation about a Food Truck area
• Main Street Gazette has a piece on the lego model of a sea serpent at Downtown Disney, we have a photo in our archives that puzzled us the first time we saw it…

… this is an old photo made from FILM… when we got the photo back from being processed, we couldn’t figure out what our Dear Niece was doing… she’s mimicking the sea serpent!

• This Lemon Meringue Cupcake is on our list of “things we want to try/split”
• Looks like the weather is going to cooperate for a walk to Downtown Disney and another episode of #2013eateachsandwich
