2013 Eat Each Sandwich Challenge – Earl of Sandwich – Holiday Ham

This is the 28th and FINAL installment of Eat Each Sandwich Challenge (#2013eateachsandwich)…

Thus far, I’ve had…

Again, very toasty bread

As soon as I unwrapped this sandwich there was an overpowering smell of cinnamon and sugar – it wasn’t a fluke either, these were the two dominant flavors.

Holiday Ham Sandwich - a little ham, a lot of glaze, and pineapple

No cheese and not enough ham to add any salty or savory elements

Glazed ham doesn’t make us think of the holidays (probably because we didn’t grow up with glazed ham), for the holiday flavor we both prefer the Holiday Turkey sandwich.

a lot of pineapple and glaze = sweet sweet sweet

I really got more fruit and sugar flavors than meat or even Earl’s delicious bread. After a few bites, I added some Grey Poupon mustard, that helped a bit.

Not a sandwich I'd order again (1. it's seasonal and 2. just not very good)

So, that’s the end of the sandwich reviews for #2013eateachsandwich. I intend to write a wrap-up post with my favorites and my “oh my I wouldn’t eat that again” choices – expect to see it before New Year’s!

Thanks for following me on this journey. I’m already trying to come up with a challenge for myself for 2014. Any suggestions?
